Paul negrut biography

A leading Romanian pastor and scholar who stood up against the oppressive Communist regime in his country during the Cold War years, will share his experiences with Christians in South Africa and Namibia in May.

Dr Paul Negrut, who is often referred to as the ‘Billy Graham of Europe’ will talk at public meetings in Durban (May 6, 7 and 8), Port Elizabeth (May 9) and Namibia (May 12 and 13).

Negrut will be hosted by INcontext Ministries, a South African mission organisation whose ministry includes bringing out international speakers who have lived with the reality of persecution, and are able to share first-hand experiences and testimonies of what God is doing in ‘closed’ countries.

Whatever message he chooses to bring to South Africa, Negrut’s story is one of God triumphing over a Communist regime, bringing freedom to Romania after many years of oppression and hardship.
